Yeah. This "list" will be abused like crazy by the government.

Part of the problem is that too many people are loyal to their political party than their country. IDGAF about the republican or democratic party. Just do your god damn jobs.

Think about this shite. He didn't do it in a wide open area,he was doing it a couple or 3 at a time at first.Probably in private rooms.

Back in Dec, the GOP blocked a bill that would make it harder for terrorists to obtain weapons; this guy was on a "watch" list. Thomas Jefferson would be proud.
Out of curiosity do you blame alcohol or the people who consume alcohol on the massive number of deaths caused by DUI's?

You should probably just go ahead and move to North Korea or Iran

Just like allowing the executive branch to label someone an "enemy combatant," there is a lack of the checks and balances needed to avoid trampling on citizens constitutional rights by just letting some douche official add you to a "list"

The No Fly list that no one really knows how you get on?
Yarp. My sweet gamgam that never committed a crime in her life was on the no fly list for years. Was a pain in the arse to get off it. Our best guess as to what got her on it was that she had a common name and someone mixed her up with another woman. And how soon do we forget that the IRS very recently was proven to be used against conesrvative organizations.

Checks and balances are the key. We've given too much power to the executive branch over the years. And the establishment on both sides have taken full advantage of it. It's fricking crazy.

He knew those bullets weren't exiting the exterior walls. The most damage done in one location.

They had a story on 60 minutes how people on the "no fly" list can still buy guns, no problem
Had they been found guilty of a felony, and lost their constitutional rights?
Why would something dealing air planes, have anything to do with our established rights?
None of the people that established our rights, ever saw a fricking airplane, but they understood about us all owning weapons, and made sure that it was our right.
If you don't want one, that's fine, you don't have to be smart.

What I hate the most about this, other than the deaths (may they RIP), is that this will be construed by the media as a gay-hating thing rather than a radical islamic thing.

So 4500 Sq ft with 320 people.... Yea, he probably did less of shooting 2-3 at a time in private rooms, and was just ambushing by the dozen in open areas.

CNN.com - not one mention of Islam, but they do have "Shooter was a security guard" as a top headline.
