We are trying to accept everyone these days. We want transgender to be ‘normal’. We want cross dressers to be ‘normal’. Our ancestors didn’t find that shite to be the norm. This society is all about ‘look at me’ and posting their 15 seconds of fame on instagram. It’s sickening.

I just love watching these threads derail and turn into an ultra-repub/angry old white man political soapbox

yeah there are 10 kids lying dead in their classroom right now bc some people accept trannies, you got it, guy

ETA: these aren’t purple haired SJW types shooting up these schools. Harris/Klebold called kids phags, Marteen literally murdered dozens of gays, etc

we can’t continue to allow the lowest rung of society to continue to breed uninhibited. It will just magnify the problem in the coming generations.

Something HAS to change. We simply cannot afford to allow the trailer park tammies of the world to continue to pop out frick trophy after frick trophy while the hard working and intelligent among us are only spouting out an average of 2 children.

It's just a dumb strawman.

My hypothetical future daughter would be better off with a black guy with a good head on his shoulders than a white trash welfare baby. Race has nothing to do with it.

This but dumbass parents should be blamed the most. I know parents that bring their kid to the doctor for every little thing. It's perfectly normal for a 6 year old boy to be full of energy. It's also normal to feel sadness every now and then. As a society we medicate for everything when a change in diet and exercise will handle 90% of our problems.

Parents aren't educated professionals when it comes to the health of children. Parents depend upon doctors to guide and help them. That's why they go to school for many years and make a lot of money.

So if a parent takes their kid to the supposedly trusted doctor, and the doctor says the answer is medicine... the parent is going to listen. Odds are, if you get a second opinion, that doctor might be just as corrupted as well.

Plenty of blame to go around.

things can manifest differently

Like a society that embraces restrictions on speech

Or that values a government healthcare system more than letting parents elect the treatment course for their own child

Just because Europe sees less shootings doesn't mean they're not equally fricked

We aren’t doing anything differently, which is why depression, “mental illness”, and suicides are increasing in all developed/1st world countries.

There is a common trend.

I would agree that is a common trend

But the school murders is almost inherently american

These kids grow up comparing themselves to others on the internet and social media and de-value humanity. They consider themselves and others to be "things".

with social media and everyone, basically, having smart phones, which allow us to live in our own little "bubble", as a society, we are isolating ourselves from community more and more...

younger generations are very vulnerable to becoming narcissistic sociopaths because of this isolation and independence of human contact...

we all need to put down the cell phones, log off Tigerdroppings, put down the laptops, pause the video games, etc. and start actually interacting with other people more regularly...

Please stop referring to the bill of rights and free speech in the context of privately owned social media companies. Every social media company already "limits free speech" by their own standards.

How is that banning free speech?

I don’t fully agree with the idea, but social media is a massive problem in the younger age groups, developmentally and emotionally.

So you agree we should be able to sell ar15s to 10 year olds so we don’t violate their RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS?

The best solution would be to change the education system.

Kids with no direction, believe they have nothing to lose and have no future are overwhelimngly the culprits behind school shootings.

Re structure the schooling system in a way that provides new avenues for success at an earlier age for kids who are not going to be successful at academics.

Keeping someone in a system that isn't working for them serves no purpose.

I did not know this! That's pretty damn shameful.

Eh. Schools get more money if they need to provide more resources. If a kid on meds, he may need additional resources - smaller classrooms, teacher aide, etc. That's why the schools get more money.

10 bucks says he wont answer this.

I'd also like to point out that there have been quite a few mass shootings pulled off by adults who didn't grow up with social media

There it is. How did I know this would be a big part of your solution?

Banning guns isn’t going to fix the rot in the society that you refuse to acknowledge.

Even if this is the reason, there are more guns in this country than people. Even if you're 1000% pro-2A, the sheer amount of guns isn't ideal.
