I can honestly say I was neither. I just acted myself, never put a woman on a pedestal until maybe my wife (no pics) after about 10 years of marriage and realizing she had to put up with my shite and is great to me.
Always felt the treating a woman bad, or being a jerk was also too fake. I don’t like fake, be yourself. If you are truly a “simp” and that’s just how you are then be that. If you have to treat someone, another human, like trash to get in bed with them, nah, too much work, not natural, I just acted myself. I never had problems having girlfriends or hooking up and can honestly say I never treated a woman badly, or “ignored her” that all seems gay to me. But I know plenty of guys were successful with pretending to be a bad boy
Eta: None of my friends treated girls bad either and pretty much all of them had girlfriends. One dated and is still married to homecoming queen and by far prettiest girl in school. He treated her great and was also not a pushover.
