Let’s take a guess at how many more qualified people were passed over for being white

Too bad she won't reconsider. Jackson Chief just became available and is a good one.

I predict that at the last minute she puts off the decision in favor of more meetings.

Nah, she already waited to the last minute to make it appear that she was really having a tough time deciding who to pick when it’s been Murphy Paul the entire time.

She has to maintain the denial:

A veteran Louisiana State Police trooper is the current heavy favorite for the job of Baton Rouge chief of police, multiple sources close to the process say.

Well, supposedly D. Honore has been telling people he got the job. Probably the most likely to be a yes man out of the group so a strong possibility and yes he would be the 2nd worst candidate. If R. Stevens gets picked the BRPD is in a world of trouble.

Considering how MP is supposedly at the center of all the state police bullshite going on with forged time sheets and cops going on vacation while on the way to a work conference, this should be interesting.

It would be funny and disappointing at the same time to have MP named chief tomorrow and him indicted over the state police stuff come Tuesday.

I’m not surprised that all of the finalists are black. If you take a look at her administration, it’s heavily majority black. Her appointment of Darryl Gissel as CAO was a token gesture and was spurred by her earlier incompetence with the whole Troy Bell fiasco. For the record, I don’t care what color the new police chief is, as long as he’s the best man for the job. That won’t be the case here because all she wants is someone who she can control.

What's wrong with those two? I ask because I'm curious, not because I disagree.

Nobody is gonna indict MP. He was just a yes man for Edmondson.
