Northline has turned into a caricature of itself. It was much prettier when I was growing up. Better people too...

Farnham is starting to change now too.

The picture of the bedroom cracks me up. Like a 20 inch tv on the wall of that massive room. Reminds me of the office episode where Michael had a dinner party and is so proud of his plasma TV

The average height male could walk in front of any TV in that house and not block the screen. You would need a chiropractor after watching a three hour game.

Easily the worst interior design trend and it is EVERYWHERE.

Stop putting your tv over the fireplace. It’s ugly as shite and it makes for bad tv viewing. It’s terrible in both form and function yet 90% of new construction houses have this.

I think that is Khloe Kardashian's house in Calabasas. Zillow misattributed the listing to Metairie.

A) that have them where they are framed now and you simply put a screen saver on it. looks much better that away.

B) if you living room is of decent size, its pretty much the perfect viewing angle.

No, you can’t. You can get a McMansion that appears to be as nice for a similar price, but there is a huge difference between a spec home and a custom home.

Y'all are tards. :)

Does this look like a D.R. Horton home to you?

Or how about this one?

It is assessed at less than $600,000 and is zestimated at 2.6 million, but they are asking 17 million for it?

Assessments are 10 percent of value in LA, so the value used for assessment is less than $6M.

But still... 17M is, uh, interesting.

No it’s not. A tv is supposed to be at or slightly above eye level when seated.

The bottom of a properly placed 65” television should only be about 4.5’ off the floor.

When I worked in Houston, I had a client who passed away. He had a house in River Oaks that was valued at about 12 million (this was about 12 years ago). They sold it in about 6 months for 11.8M.

It was considerably nicer, in my opinion, than this Guidry house.

The televisions everywhere just ruin it - like an OT ten picking her nose.

The exterior is very lovely. The interior looks like it was designed tastefully, and then Al Copeland added some finishing touches. It’s a house for entertaining, ostentation, and for people who don’t want to be outside.

Just went through this. Really no other choice with an open floor plan and floor to ceiling windows everywhere. We did did a modernish cast concrete fireplace with basically no mantle to get the tv as low as possible, Bottom of my 75" samsung frame is 53" from the floor. It's a little higher than ideal but it's fine.

I removed my fireplace. It was a huge PITA but worth it. It wasn't some little fireplace and chimney, either.
