TORCON

TORCON is a metric created and used by The Weather Channel and the entities connected to them. It’s not an official metric used by anyone else in the weather community, including the National Weather Service.

That line of storms in OK is looking better now. That will eventually be what causes NW Arkansas problems. Storms forming and moving generally North will be what gives Central/Eastern AR issues later tonight into the early AM. Then, the line may restrengthen as it moves across the state as a broken line.

So every few months our phone service/phone internet AND home internet across our whole area goes out for 6-12 hours at a time and it has randomly happened tonight

The only reason I can post now is bc I had to drive 20 minutes north to the relatively larger town to get some stuff where it's working. Headed back home now, not sure I'll have any way to get warnings or anything without phone/internet.

Oh well, I'll try to keep an eye out as best I can. Good reason to have gotten a weather radio I guess but my fault

Hit up a Walmart or Academy on the way home. Lowes has them, too.

Was informed by my Federal partners that Houston Air Traffic Control received reports from two aircrafts that they saw a meteorite west of McAllen. Where the exact point of impact is unknown. No reports of any damage in that area has been received.

Both of those warned storms have been primarily outflow dominant so far, but that northern warning is trying to wrap up.
