Plenty of rain in these storms, too. We are almost at 4" and it is still raining hard. That would be right at 5" since Monday morning.

If they had placed the High Risk right where the first PDS Tornado watch was placed, they would have nailed it....even moreso, to be fair.

How’s mobile looking tonight?

So far so good. Hasn’t even rained. Looks like potential for a quick storm later but that’s it. Seems much more concentrated north of us.

Outbreak wasn't all it could've been thankfully, but remember folks, its only March 17th.

This would have still been considered a mojor outbreak had these storms been more powerful.
I'm not sure any storm got higher than maybe EF2.

I've gotten a kick out of following this guy over the past week since he about got himself wiped out in Oklahoma by being in the path of a rain-wrapped tornado and proceeded to berate a woman on-air met for pointing out his error. Here's what he tweeted earlier today:

I’m not buying the HRRR putting all those supercells in Alabama by 20z. I don’t wanna be that far from the mid level jet max. MS delta area into C MS is getting a perfect trough ejection this evening so sticking to the further west target.

He did wind up getting a brief video of a tornado in Woodville, Ms. That's pretty much the only storm he saw all day in his "favorite terrain to chase".

Metairie (/'m?t?ri/ MET-?r-ee) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States, and is part of the New Orleans metropolitan area. With a population at the 2010 census of 138,481,[1] Metairie is the largest community in Jefferson Parish and the fifth-largest CDP in the United States.[2] It is an unincorporated area that would be Louisiana's fourth-largest city if it were incorporated.[3][4]

It was some bad sideways rain. The bar I was in started leaking. Never happens.
