Several gunmen open fire on pickup on Elysian Fields at rush hour

A stunning video caught on surveillance camera put on display the type of brazen crime that has been reported on New Orleans’ streets in recent months.
Monday afternoon shortly before 5 p.m., video from a home camera near the 3800 block of Elysian Fields shows a lot of traffic on the street, and then a reddish-colored vehicle stops and at least three people are seen firing what appear to be high-powered weapons into a white pickup truck.
The truck passes to the right of the red car and the shots continue to be fired into the pickup truck, which slowly comes to a stop.
Police reports via email said that a man suffered several gunshot wounds to the body in the incident and was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. There was no report on his condition as of Tuesday morning.

Way they're shooting, I bet he barely got hit. More likely that a bystander did though. SHould we just be training these guys to better hit their target? Would that solve a lot of the problem?

This is why I don’t tailgate people when I unfortunately have to drive in New Orleans and I always leave enough car lengths to get out. I also only drive closest to the neutral ground so I can hop the curb if needed.

3) All involved have rap sheets a mile long
