The fact that you all care so much about how certain people feel, or when they voice their opinions about anything that isn't inline with your own is very telling.
There's a difference between voicing your opinion and going to great lengths to change something the whole world enjoys because some lady stopped you in a grocery store and told you to be offended by a mother fricking syrup bottle

My wife was shocked,” said Gasby, still recalling the event clearly. “And from that day on, we said to ourselves that we’d try to make a difference.”
I wonder what the ones who faced lynch mobs, attack dogs, and fire hoses would think about this woman being bothered over the racial message behind fricking pancakes.

Mrs Butterworth's always seemed like more of a kinky little minx anyway.

This. The real racists are these type people looking hard for racism.

no, not all. Some images are legitimately offensive. The current image of Aunt Jemima isn't particularly offensive, but the name has been tied to some very offensive imagery.
Well then, they don't have to buy the fricking syrup. It's called personal choice

Gasby’s petition isn’t calling for the liquidation of the company. But he does want the name and mascot eliminated and also suggests PepsiCo consider changing the brand name to that of his wife.
And of course all of the royalties that go along with it.

They don't have to buy it

My Aunt, a white lady named Jemima after my great great grandmother who assisted with the underground railroad has decided to contact PepsiCo and demand she replace the current image cause her name is Jemima

Because it's incredibly irrational considering the product has already been changed considerably in order to erase the racist stigma associated with the product/image origins.
You have someone who is literally stopping black people who are purchasing the product in the stores, trying to guilt them over it when they obviously have little to no issue with the current incarnation of Aunt Jemima since they are still buying the product.
So tell me again who the irrational one is here?

One of the most elegant black women in the world bothered a old lady grocery shopping and acted "shocked" at the answer she got? How do you teach that elegance?

Back to my point though, I never said that it should be changed or removed. All I simply did is show why some black people may find it offensive.
