NLU had 3 girls to every guy and I was just smart enough to know i wouldn't have lasted at LSU. Hell, I barely got through Northeast. It was a great decision for me

My parents would not let me go to LSU because it was a "Party school". Damn near killed me.

Is he still the first president comsidering LSU has done all but publically disowned him as far as recognition goes?

Yep, me too. Senior year, though. And ULL

I went to college before TOPS and my dad lived 15 miles from LSU. I would have probably gone there anyway but he told me he'd pay my tuition and books but not for me a place to live. I graduated debt free but commuted the first two years. I definitely don't regret going elsewhere and piling up student loan debt.

1. Went to a University in Texas.
2. LSU did not offer my field of study.
3. Wanted to get away from family.

I don't get why anyone would pick one of the other public schools unless they were getting a big scholarship there. I

Money. Plain and simple.
LSU gave me an academic scholarship, which I squandered.
Top it of with tops and financial aid, and I was being paid pretty well to go to a school I didn't appreciate. Wasted a lot of time doing everything I should have done.
Looking back, I would have enrolled early, got an engineering degree, and gotten a decent job party job when I was young.
Why didn't I? Because I was surrounded by friends and bad eggs.. And I was worse than any of them.

The weird thing to me is out of state students that come to LSU. You're parents are willing to pay out of state tuition and you pick Baton Rouge? Poor decision making skills there

No shite. Athens and Oxford are much better towns. And UGA blows LSU away in terms of academics.

I hate large cities. Natchitoches was more to my tastes. Out of class at 1:00. Fishing on Sibley Lake at 1:15.

The university of Louisiana is the better school so I went there

Grew up in Laffy, LSU fan since I could talk.
Engineering program at UL was (probably not still) just as good as LSU. So stayed at home with parents while getting paid to go to school. Wore LSU shirts on campus almost every day.
Still don't get the hate by UL fans to LSU

Because Harvard offered a better education.

To be fair most kids who had Tops or made it into Ole Miss most likely did not have the grades and scores to get into UGA.
