Today’s rap is sooooo freaking awful.

A whole bunch of them dudes sound like they are 13.

When cardi b and Nikki manor have more bass in their voice than 90% of the rappers today, there is a problem

Dude lived what he wrote too. He adopted his underage girlfriend so she could tour with him.

I'm 71. Rap is a bad NOISE to my ears PLUS the offensive noise is FORCED on me at red lights, parking lots, etc. People with old loosely put together cars have super woofers or some such speakers that could be used at a music concert to broadcast the BOOM - BOOM forcing all the world to hear.

Cliffs: 1. sounds bad to my ears, 2. forced on me.

I listen to '80s rock played at levels that can barely be heard outside of my ride. ..... and, oh yeah, I turn it off when I'm getting gas.

Be careful when you pump gas, your fingers might break. Do you have a handicap lift on your van as well?

Don't mind differences of opinion, but this is the stupidest fricking retort in this thread.

What is it?

first you explain why its necessary to blast music so you can hear it clearly from 400 yards away

next explain why a throbbing bass is considered music and why it has to be so frickin loud that it goes through your closed windows and i cant even hear my own radio on full volume while shite on my dash rattles as my car windows visibly shake from the sound vibrations some punk arse bitch is blasting next to me

no one gives a frick what you listen to or enjoy as long as you dont force others to listen to it against their will.

Others in this thread would disagree... they certainly do mind what others listen to...

I may be one of the oldest folks on here and I like rap.

I am saddened that rap came about as record folks found they made more money if the shrank the number of performers and the necessity for instrumental skills. I miss the brass of older music and sometimes the woodwinds.

That being said, good and creative rap has a place and can be okay to listen to if their is good lyrics and innovative sounds. It gets bad when it is repetitive and unoriginal.

Parents Just Don't Understand was creative and funny
Walk this Way was adaptive mix of rap and rock
Fight the Power was hard hitting but catchy at the same time
Rapper's Delight was the first and still good today
