I usually double or triple the number bc serving size is small compared to what most people consider glass of wine or hard liquor
Most lie about smoking/vaping now days.
40 something year old with elevated liver enzymes and fairly normal weight is hitting the bottle. Can see it even heavy binge drinkers

My doctor doesn't ask that ridiculous question unless it's pertinent to an issue.
It’s pertinent in the context of the OP’s original question of an annual visit.

The only discuss of alcohol during my annual exam occurs when his finger is up my poop chute and he asks me if I want to grab drinks later

I tell him the truth. Never really think about how much I drink. My Wal Mart each month is about 9 18 packs of Heinekens , a fifth of George Dickle bourbon and a handle of Wild Turkey.

8 - 12 gallons of milk and 8 pounds of coffee. My doctor says to keep doing what I am doing. He says I have the best blood work out of his 66 year olds. I also eat 6 - 8 eggs every day.

I don’t eat processed or fast food. Lots of shrimp, fish, oysters , crabmeat and our feathered friends is my kind of food.

I tell him zero because I don’t drink. I’ve got enough wrong with me already that I don’t need alcohol ruining whatever progress I’ve already made.

Drinking wasn’t made for women and children

You can say 1 drink if you do not specify a size.

Substance abuse risk adjusts in Medicare patients so not only does it likely have a medical tie but also their could be reimbursement implications for them to ask.

Unless you've got a serious medical issue, who goes to the doctor? Doctors are for 80 year olds, pregnant women, cancer treatments and those with heart problems. No wonder our medical system is so jacked up.

My doctor never asks about drinking. He asks about diet and exercise habits.

liver enzymes

Mine were slightly elevated once. "AST" I think. Turns out those particular enzymes are raised by working out.
Scared me though, they ordered ultrasound etc.

Just stop going for your annual visit and they won't ask such questions.

Adderall.

At this point, I'm just collecting it.

Same for the low dose viagra I got him to prescribe for when we vacation at high altitude. I have probably a dozen bottles of 5mg laying around
