What percentage of the people in the world would you estimate are decent, hardworking, law abiding people who want to live in a manner that respects others, and who care for their children and genuinely attempt to raise them to be the same.

Most, otherwise the world would descend into chaos. That doesn't mean most of them wouldn't take advantage of a situation if it presented itself and they thought they could get away with it.

The number of people who deep down believe the value of those thing is high. Probably like 75%.
The number of people who make any serious attempt to do those things is lower, and the number that do them fairly successfully is lower still.

It's kind of subjective. For example - last night I walked into a McDonald's to use the bathroom. On the way back to the car, I witnessed a blinged out Tahoe throwing food wrappers and garbage out of the truck and into the parking lot. There were several unrestrained toddlers in the vehicle.
This person is providing their children with food. They probably don't want to go to jail, but they're still by and large pieces of shite.

In the world? Probably the vast majority but only out of necessity.
In the United States? Eh, probably more like 30%. I'm not saying the rest are criminals, but the country does not have many hardworking and law abiding people. Think of how many deadbeats are on food stamps, Medicaid, and are drug addicts.
