Super Friends was gold for me. The Legion of Justice! Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman all fighting evil together. Wonder Twins powers... Activate!

They died when they ceased being entertainment and turned into 1/2 hour infomercials like HeMan and The Smurfs. By your date they were just the bleached bones of their former self

So you preferred Josie and the Pussy Cats over He-Man?

It died the day Sigmund and the sea monsters and Land of the Lost went off air.

I always like Scooby-Doo Doo and Space Ghost.

Flash Gordon was the man.

previous generation of younger audiences outgrew '70s staples like Super Friends and Josie and the Pussy Cats.

Um, No! 60s/70s cartoons were Johnny Quest, Pink Panther, Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo...

Super Friends and Josie, please.

I remember being so excited on Friday night I wouldn't get a wink in be before 7am

Anyone used to watch TGI Fridays? I forgot all the shows that played. I think Full House, maybe Family Matters? I was a college football fan sense I could remember. I'd get up around 7, if you got up at 6 there was kids incorporated, but I'd watch cartoons/shows with real people like the one with the girl who played basketball.. Then of course they didn't have all the games available like they do today. There was an SEC game on CBS through the shitty Jefferson Pilot. If Notre Dame was playing home it was on NBC. If it was a home LSU game, I either went with my parents or would go to their friends house to watch it Tiger Vision. Then NFL on Sunday. It was rare you got to watch the Saints at home because the games were usually blacked out.

Being a kid, I didn't watch every second of the game. I'd usually be outside with other kids and every once in awhile go inside to see what was happening. But the day started with cartoons. And I am pretty sure there were cartoons on the other network channels after 1992

I use an HD antenna for local channels, and have a network called "ME TV" that shows Bugs and the gang every Saturday morning....

I used to love watching Sigmund and the Sea Monster, Bigfoot and Wild Boy, Wonderbug, The Bugaloos ,and Dr. Shrinker on Saturday mornings. Mix in Looney Tunes, Laugh Olympics, and Superfriends and Saturdays in the 70s and 80s were perfect.
