There were some great ones on into the 90s on Fox like X-men

I will die on this hill. It's not just nostalgia. XMen is one of the best-written cartoons of all time.

Saturday mornings. Bugs Bunny Hour. Johnny Quest (goat). Sunday mornings Bullwinkle. During the week Poley Carp Peco number 2 in the mornings before school. I believe it was on a Lafeyette channel, this was before cable, 60's. I wonder if he ever caught ole Blue?

After school lineup I remember Woody Woodpecker, Scooby Doo, Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island.

Saturday mornings Bugs Bunny, Laff A Lympics, Thundaar the Barbarian, Richie Rich, Scooby Doo, Super Friends, Speed Buggy, Fat Albert, Hong Kong Phooey, Tom & Jerry, Jabber Jaw, Captain Caveman, He-Man to name a few. It all started at 6am with Johnny Quest and Rocky & Bullwinkle.

Mid 70s to mid 80s was a peak time to be a kid in this country

Schoolhouse Rock!

Conjunction junction, what's you're function? Hooking up words and phrases and clauses...

I think the article is off by nearly a decade. It wasn't until cable became wide-spread (Disney, Cartoon Network, and Nick) that Saturday morning cartoons fell off.

Article doesn't list Fox at all, how can you forget Fox Kids? They were the go-to Saturday morning cartoon channel in the 90's. X-Men, Spiderman, Batman, Animaniacs. I guess they weren't purely cartoons due to Power Rangers.

Personally, I thought the NBC cartoons sucked anyway. I stuck to CBS and ABC on Saturday mornings

Sunday mornings were Tarzan with Ron Ely as Tarzan....and right after Duke's death the local NBC affiliate had John Wayne Theater.....hell. I remember in New Orleans when you had The Big Movie at 3 pm everyday.....they would have certain dedicated weeks to people like Jerry Lewis.....hosted by Cajun Ken Cooper.
