lol weed isnt even a thing anymore on a criminal level.

Some companies maybe. The vast majority of companies testing for drugs arent going to stop because weed is legal now. Trucking, shipping, dangerous jobs, etc arent going to just stop testing.

Came here for this exact thread. Thanks.

It is amazing that Gravy gets an article in the WP just a week after that terrible article talking about Coach Kelly's contract and a grad student making $12k a year. It also included a racist acknowledgement from Collis Temple. Seems someone is trying to influence BR politics from the WP.

Are you saying if weed was legal that that part of town would suddenly clean up and become upstanding and productive citizens?

You really think some worthless politician giving them permission is what people are waiting for?

This is so funny yet so sad at the same time. People actually voted for this moron.

Here is the video for those who forgot or didn't see.

Black men commit, i.e. are arrested, for the majority of violent crimes because they are targeted by the police.

Gravy looks like something out of a cheap 70s Blaxploitation flick in that get-up.

That fat frick is “running” again? And this time for a US senate seat? He got what, 24% of the vote for a LA legislative seat and now thinks he can get a US congress seat?
Mother fricker just wants those donation dinners to pay for his massive food bills
It's like I said in the other thread: Gravy's new grift is being a professional candidate. He never has to win a thing. He's got access (legally or illegally, he'll worry about that later) to a campaign chest.

It isn't the fact they test that should change. It is completely legitimate for any employer to test for intoxicating substances whether the employee is a radio tower light bulb maintenance tech or a telephone CS manager. The issue is whether a person that traces positive for THC should be fired.
It is one thing to come to work high (or drunk) it is another for someone to come to work after having a couple of drinks or a joint on Friday night and show up Monday sober when both are completely legal. I think in the long run as recreational weed becomes legal across most states employers will have to adjust their reaction to trace levels of legal intoxicants or face staffing issues.

gravy is about attention.
honestly, perpetually running for office isnt the worst thing he could be doing about that...
"former US Senate and US Representative candidate gravy" doesn't sound too bad when your goal is grift

I bet that's just a worn out a$$ cigar. No way it's weed.

It’s nice to pretend we’re buying it for medicinal purposes, but we shouldn’t have to.

quote:We're about a decade into legal weed here and many companies have stopped screening for weed. Obviously certain jobs will always test but for the majority of us that don't work in plants, heavy industry or things like that, it's no longer a thing. My wife works directly with patients in the medical field and her company no longer screens for weed.
I think in the long run as recreational weed becomes legal across most states employers will have to adjust their reaction to trace levels of legal intoxicants or face staffing issues.
And state and local government employees aren't tested anymore either(unless they operate equipment or something I'm assuming). I had to file a report with the sheriffs department a few days ago and the desk sergeant had a jar of THC lotion sitting on her desk.
