I obtained surveillance footage of the self-driving Tesla that abruptly stopped on the Bay Bridge, resulting in an eight-vehicle crash that injured 9 people including a 2 yr old child just hours after Musk announced the self-driving feature.

There are about 15 stories a year that come out about a self driving tesla crashing and every time after an investigation its discovered that the car wasn't even in autopilot

Car in the rear at fault, self driving or not

I LOVE anecdotes with no statistical context!!!

I love how they did a complete 180 on Musk once he became a threat to their overlords. and now they all act like they ALWAYS hated him.

How is it that a car stops but the vehicle behind that crashes into it is not the one at fault? You people are insane.

Don’t tailgate and follow at a safe distance. That shite wouldn’t happen baw

Tesla was just following the driving in the left lane crowd from yesterday's thread and brake checked them.

I’m pretty sure that’s his point.

Who knows if the tesla was actually in "self driving" mode but I think people aren't realizing that the tesla doesn't just stop and get rear ended by a tailgater. It changed lanes right in front of another car while braking to a complete stop on a open highway lol.

This how they intend to depopulate the world. Get everybody in a self driving car and crash them all at once.

Looks suspect. My guess is driver error.

Watch the video a little more detailed and you will notice the Tesla had its blinker on prior to changing lanes, didn't look like it cut in front of the other car, nor does it look like it slammed on the brakes. That is 100% the driver who rear ended the Teslas fault, but that's just a shitty place to stop.

Ehh I'm not so sure. A vehicle coming to a complete stop for no observable reason on an open highway could certainly be said to have caused the accident.
While insurance may argue 100% fault on the part of the following car, I would be the tesla driver was given a citation for careless/reckless driving.
