Crossed Seattle off the list of places I want to visit
Our leaders at all levels are fools only interested in appeasing the mob. Worked out well for Europe when the Nazis started getting pushy.

I hereby nominate that warlord dictator guy who took over CHAZ to lead this newfound department.

I fully support this. I want to watch it burn
Same here. I wouldn’t care if the whole city burned down as long as they don’t get any federal money to rebuild.
Then I could point and laugh at how their “liberal utopia” they created worked out for them.

Either one or things will happen
1. It’ll fail epically and they’ll blame not themselves but racism for it
2. They’ll slowly start a new police department with a different name, motto, mission, uniforms, etc. They’ll say it’s different but it’ll really be the same people hired back. Like what Camden, NJ did.

If you think anyone but protesters and agitators are going to Seattle at this point going forward, you're kidding yourself.
How much money does these losers spend in a city? none, the cost millions in damage.

Pick another specialty in that area.
Bank robberies are under FBI jurisdiction.

I’m waiting for the rest to be posted, but that’s what it seems like. It will be a police force held responsible by citizens instead of higher ranking cops. That would be in line with the Minneapolis proposal, and at face value, isn’t a bad idea in theory.

I seriously doubt this changes much, if anything
they will more than likely just use the state/federal police to continue policing most things
this is simply pandering and renaming things

That's all these cities will end up doing is effectively renaming the police department so they can show the rest of the country how woke they are. fricking morons.

The funny part is that they'll be begging the feds for help and/or disaster funds within a month or two.
And the response will be

Here's whats going to happen:
They are going to do this, and they will get tons of positive press.
For months, the media will run puff pieces on what a raving success this is and it is a utopia.
Meanwhile, regular citizens and businesses will be moving out in droves, not reported, the reason being...
The crime rate will be moving up drastically, with tons of organized crime and protection rackets. Shakedowns will be through the roof.
They will quietly go back to the old style of police under a different name.

I’ll take the bet that they’re still going to collect the taxes/millages.
This type of shite is going to be wrought with fraud. I guess that’s BLM’s idea of getting their reparations, one way or another.
