I prefer boxing and then wrestling. Quick hard hitting hands will be more valuable or were in my experience and the wrestling helps if they do get you on the ground.

As a judo and TkD guy I was undefeated vs wrestlers and boxers.. in reality though I was ver formidable but 5 coming after at once was a loss - but 2 paid a higher toll that me. In a brawl type scene -defend and egress -
It took me about 4 months to catch the 5 alone and collect a full toll.
