I was there two weeks ago couldn’t believe it how things have changed the demographics
I don’t understand how they afford to go down there. It cost me a fortune, but it’s not like I remember when my kids were younger…it it was all White.

I can remember a time on this board say 10 years ago had you posted this you would’ve gotten banned and half of this site would’ve called you a racist and a piece of shite and anything else they wanted to call you
My oh my how changed things now everybody’s starting to see and calling it for what it is.
I suppose that’s progress

really? In Baton Rouge, they graduate from southern and work as teachers, the state, or for one of the many plants just like the rest of us middle class, and do other middle class things. However, many of their mindsets are stuck in the ghetto.

Lack of culture is yet another of the many reasons Lake Michigan is far superior to Florida this time of year and why we spend our summers there.

I know the beaches aren’t as nice but I just spent a week at Cinnamon Shore and encountered none of this foolishness.

Not for swimming. - I disagree. I love swimming in Lake Michigan. It's refreshing and best part -no sharks!
Not for safety. - Again, no sharks.
Not for sand. - Destin wins here but its not like the sand at Lake MI is bad or anything.
Not for boating. - Maybe, maybe not. We have friends with a boat and have had many days of wonderful excursions sailinh up and down he shore and harboring in Frankfort and Traverse City. Its usually 70-80 and pretty calm.

Its very pretty. Outside of that you are better on inland lakes or the gulf coast.

I'm not taking anything away from Florida but MI is so much more pleasant temperature wise and far less people to contend with. Its also not overbuilt nor is it commercial in the least. No cheesy t shirt shops, etc. Obviously these things are a matter of taste and what you prefer but both spots have great things to offer. I just find MI to be very underrated in the summer.

It's always them

the OP link doesn't work anymore. Is it "them"? Hell, I thought 30A was the whitest spot in all of Florida. Shame.

We were there as well and saw the police and ambulance a street over. This is why we don’t let our teens go to random parties down there. They think we worry too much, but this proves why.
