OP, did you find the sticker inside the glovebox? Match the VIN on the sticker with the VIN on the dash or doorpost first and confirm they are the same.
As posted above, is RPO Z71 printed on the sticker?

Fraud requires something ridiculous like 7 points of proof. Absolute avantage to the fraudsters.
Been down that road before. Best advice - get your state AG office and all state agencies that regulate the business in question involved.
