The U.S. Supreme Court issued an injunction late Wednesday blocking New York’s governor from enforcing 10- and 25-person occupancy limits on religious institutions, granting a request from the Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn and Agudath Israel.
The court apparently divided 5-4, with Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Stephen Breyer Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan dissenting.
In an unsigned majority opinion, the court said the restrictions would violate religious freedom and are not neutral because they “single out houses of worship for especially harsh treatment.”

Chief Justice Roberts joins the three liberal justices in dissent.
What kind of sick person would try to limit someone’s ability to worship God? I am incredibly grateful for my faith and the ability to practice religious freedom. No one’s taking that away from me.

NEW: Supreme Court on 5-4 vote blocks NY Gov. Cuomo from reimposing strict capacity caps on Catholic churches and synagogues that sued. Barrett joins conservative wing in majority; Roberts joins liberals in dissent.
My god this is Glorious to read. It's blatant political porn to me.
Free at last!!!
Free at last!!!

Glorious ACB, we'll be watching your career with great interest.

Skimming over Roberts dissent right now.
He's siding with the liberals over a technicality rather than the broader context of the case. He pulled the exact same aggravating nonsense with ObamaCare, DACA and the Census case.
Absolutely par for the course for him and a great demonstration as to why he is completely untrustworthy. Always looking for a way to weasel out of making the tough decision.

The Bush family may have whiffed big time with David Souter and John Roberts.
They also gave us two incredibly based MAGA America First Justices in Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito.
So it's a 50/50 wash there.

You’re right. I just like blaming W and his globalist family for a lot.

Why haven't any other districts gone along with the Pennsylvania ruling slamming open-ended emergency orders?

Can you imagine the coverage from the MSM if a Republican mayor of NYC was going after Jews the way Deblasio is?
Instead, relatively little, because he has the D after his name as a shield.

Someone that doesn’t realize that there are a few hundred million idiots in America who believe god is real.

Robertsomayoragan.
That’s the legacy of Justice John Roberts, perpetual joining with the two worst scotus justices in modern history.

And I’m a staunch atheist who thinks your smug view on how other people wish to live their spiritual life is fricking disgusting.
