hauling square baled hay and hoeing cotton
We hoed cotton for $1.25 an hour. There were six of us, all 15. The farmer also had a black family that was hoeing cotton. He told us that the family got $1.75 per hour because they worked twice as hard as we did.
One day, the family and my group were both hoeing cotton in close proximity. A man comes over and says "you don't work twice as hard as we do and I don't know why you get $1.75 per hour."
We told him the truth. Apparently the wily farmer was telling both groups that the other group made more money because they worked harder.

Worked at my school's summer camp starting at age 12. They couldn't pay me, but they took money off of my tuition.

Painted houses.. The pay was real good (for a teenager) but the work was tough. Worked with a bunch of Mexicans who were assholes. They would shite in old paint buckets and leave on the property for homeowners to find. I found one and opened it up.. Surprise!

My first summer job was in Seattle/Portland when I was 29 and I was paid to dress in black, hurl bricks, light businesses on fire and otherwise stick it to The Man. I made about tree-fiddy but had to spend it finding a cure for Full-Body Chlamydia.

Weedeating and on the paint crew at the local Parks and Rec Dept. Had an absolute blast because it was a bunch of friends from school.
It also taught me I didn't want to do manual labor in the heat of summer for the rest of my life. So I had a blast with buddies and got motivated for the future.

Cut grass from age 12-15. At 15 I could get a real job. Worked the early shift at a produce market. Had to be there at 6:00AM to set up everyday.
Wasn’t a bad job except when the watermelon truck would come in.

Piedmont national wildlife refuge.
They did a youth summer work program back when i was a 15. Was a fun first, minimum wage job.
Got to do things like counting woodpecker eggs with a camera attached to a pole, and clean out wood duck boxes, along with re-siding a bird watchers hut on a pond and building a bridge over a creek on a hiking trail. The grunt work like repainting the trees along boundary lines and weed eating along the roads was no cake walk but overall I'm very thankful for the experience.

Shop bitch for an AC company during high school.
Plenty of cash flow, and learned quite a bit that I still use today.

Baled hay for my grandfather's farm and worked at a cabinet shop by my house sweeping/bagging wood shavings and sawdust. I was 12 and was happy to have the $$$ to save for a first car a couple of years later (used '68 Camaro). Miss those days!

Childhood friend and I moved the medical library at BRG from one floor to another. Some of those books had a 1/4" of dust on them and we had to clean them up before putting them on the shelf. Dirty work, but the money was good for the time spent.

First job was helping an Uncle in construction doing odds and ends work, running tools, bringing supplies, BS work you give crackheads...
First actual W-2 job was stock room at one of those craft stores in the mall.
