Hmmmmm where did I say shitty parents make shitty students? I did make the comment stupid parents get upset when their child is not making all A's when they themselves couldn't pass 4th grade math.

Well for one here in Louisiana the state messes with it. We have a cirriculum to follow and based on how the students perform impacts my pay. So I want the students to know everything that would impact my pay.
I can't really go off and dive deeper into some subjects because then I get behind my pacing.

Morning Duece .. Wife's a teacher and let me tell you she does not do it for the money. It takes a special person to deal with all the crap but at the same time help shape kids for the future.

My wife retired after 29 years, and she couldn't get out fast enough. I feel for teachers in today's world. Kids, nor their parents have the respect for teachers that was the case when I was a kid.
My wife's friends who are still teaching are some of the hardest working people I know. Much respect to teachers.
