Personally I think 6th grade since hormones kick in. I've had students that were perfect and all of a suddenly a switch flips and all they worry about is their BF/GF

I can see that...

Did you have a different career before teaching? I noticed you said you plan on retiring at 62...

I make 55k and travel during the summer, pretty easy to be motivated. I could go work for my father's company during my off time but I would prefer to see things.

Personally I think it should be redirected. Standardized test have not told me anything about my students I did not already notice, which are weak, strong, average, below average, and unsatisfactory.

I worked at WBRZ as an intern for awhile, then worked as a pipe fitter for 3 years before going back to school.

You're a dude, right? How does it feel knowing that every girl's parents think you're a potential child molester?

Not really, it is great but not a motivational tool. Like I said, I've done other things and what not. I believe that everyone can be educated in different ways and that college isn't for everyone. Despite that everyone can learn if they choose.

Possible especially teaching under high School level and not being a coach. However, kids don't interest me so I think I'm safe. If parents want to think it, go for it.

I know at my previous school 1 paraprofessional cheated and 1 teacher cheated in 5 years. Not with a student, just with another adult who did not work at the school
