I had a brain fart this morning and passed a EBR school bus on the left while it was dropping kids off. Anyone got one of these tickets? I saw that it is 100-500$ AND license suspension for 30 days.

The license suspension is what concerns me, I don’t have any means to go to work other than to drive and I work nights.

Thanks guys

Did you make this account just to ask the OT how to get out of this ticket?

You pass school buses that are dropping off kids and you probably shouldn't drive.

That's what concerns me.

I thought camera tickets were considered a civil issue? If that’s the case I don’t see how they can suspend someone’s license.

Good - You deserve it. Could have killed a kid.

Tough shite and watch what you are doing.

Everyone here is perfect, and has never made a mistake in their lives. Nice to know I’m around such perfect people.

I’m not trying to “get out of a ticket” this is my first one, and I’m not above paying it. Just concerned about not being able to make it to work for a month.

Just be happy there were no kids crossing the road when you passed.

I imagine most DA's dont look favorably on this sort of thing.

Pussy. I have a buddy that worked 50+ straight days with 12 hr shifts at Shintech and still never passed a bus unloading or picking up kids.

I am fairly certain its written into the statute that if you get this ticket you can lose your license.

Show up in court and explain how you made the mistake, and that it wasn't intentional. Show some remorse, pay the fine and see if they'll waive the license suspension.

I did this for a wreck back in the 90s where I was at fault. I never had to enter the court room. Went to the city attorney's office and spoke with him for a couple minutes. Paid the fine and nothing ever appeared on my record.

They're used to seeing a lot worse than me.

Call the ADA today and tell them about the brain fart. They're super chill and completely understand the brain farts.

Cool story darling.

B52 cocktail isn’t a drink. It’s what you give patients that act... well like you guys do.

Hopefully when you get your license back in 30 days that suspension will make you think twice before doing something that could kill a little kid

You wrote that but I deciphered it as:

“I’m a fricking moron and shouldn’t drive.”
