Any DIY or contractor baws use this stuff? I'm ripping out a contractor fiberglass shower pan over a slab and replacing with tile. Is this stuff worth the price?

Yes it’s worth the price especially if you’re doing curbs or benches or any structure in the shower

If you’re DIY you can find it on ebay

I've known more than one that didn't use bc of the cost and have regretted it.

Yep. If you dont deal with waterproofing in construction regularly I highly suggest it.

They also make a great linear drain that you can tile over the lid of.

Builder grade alcove shower with tile went to shite after ~8 yrs. I DIYed Noble in the remodel, but similar principle.

I’d require it on any future construction I was specifiying.

waterproofing line of products/system that when used properly gives a very high chance of building a tile shower that will not leak for a very long time. There are more systems like it coming onto market but Schluter was the first and reputable.

100% I tried to not use it and failed. Had to removed the shower bed and start over. The system is pretty fool proof and wish I would have used it from the get go.
