It is for endangered species (by English Turn) unless you are talking about the Tulane place that no one has ever seen.

Placebeaux there's a bunch of old bomb shelters back there and about 8308163 hogs.. more of a local rumor than anything - I do however remember at one time seeing pictures of different animals in mason jars with formaldehyde - maybe they did some research back there? I'll see if I can dig it up

Pretty sure it was a coast guard installation at one point, now I think Tulane uses it for something...

Something along these lines... I think you may have them confused or might be talking about the same place

Hahaha no that just circles back around to Woodland/English turn. There's an athletic complex back there (PAC). But it's mostly just woods and towers. It's sketchy at night just like any "off the map" type places in south Louisiana. My ex's dad took me for a ride back there during the night once, turned his headlights off and dared me to hurt his daughter.

And I meant sketchy as in "If I saw big foot walk out of the woods right now, it wouldn't really shock me" Just that eerie feeling you get when you're expecting to see some crazy shite.

Woah. My uncle told me they had bunkers back there but I thought he was just messing with me. I wanna go back there one day and check it out.

Did a street view on one of those building (30 Armadillo Ln).

It obviously has been abandoned for years but the signage says "The United States - Japan Biomedical Research Laboratories"

My friends dads house in northpark that backs up to woods by this place. At least it used to be woods. I think they clear cut it. You could hear the monkeys hoopin and hollering. We'd play paintball, Shoot rabbits and See deer back there. What's weird is that they had this concrete bunker bolted shut back there in the middle of the woods. As well as a pond surrounded by barbed wire

considering that Chimps like to attack the genitals, face, and hands during a violent encounter and are supposedly 5Xs stronger than a human, and have large canine teeth, I don't think you would need to arm him.

once word got out that a home invader or thief had his nuts, face, or hands chewed off by your chimp, I'm sure you would be reasonably safe from intruders.

There's a place around Belle Chasse that has been off limits for years.

A quick google returned nothing. What/where is this and what are the rumors?
