I lived on that road (three rivers) for a while when I was a teenager..
I even remember reports thats some had escaped... but we weren't too worried about it..

What is "Shelter in Place" really going to save if a cat cracker unit at Citgo blows up?

There's a place around Belle Chasse that has been off limits for years. Its somewhere off of Woodland Hy. All kings of crazy rumors.
I believe you're talking about the old state school. I don't remember exactly what it was used for, but I know it was full of crazy people and people with special needs. It was shut down and abandoned for about a decade until they recently started renovating them and turning them into government buildings. Either that or you're talking about Main St where it meets Hebert (Cypress Park) but it's gated off. I went back there to camp for Boy Scouts back when. I don't know exactly what's back there but it's nothing top secret or sketchy.
When it was abandoned, it was extremely creepy. I felt like I was in the walking dead when I walked inside. Wheelchairs just sitting around. Beds, Jerry chairs, etc. just all abandoned and full of dust. There was a fricking hog in there once that nearly made me shite my pants. Definitely couldn't pay me enough to go there at night. It's scary enough during the day. When I was in high school, we played a game of airsoft there just for shits and giggles.
You probably can't go back into the abandoned buildings anymore because there's a cop that patrols the area. definitely could make a creepypasta about that place.

So what goes on at a primate center and why is it so big? Are they actually testing shite on monkeys there?

I thought that this thread was about Opelousas. Your chances of getting bitten and contracting AIDS are far higher in Opelousas.
