Saw this guy professing how much he loved his wife yesterday on Facebook and it made me cringe. Just seems really pathetic and beta to me. Thoughts?

there's a girl I'm friends with on fb who is probably mid/late 20s, and not that bad looking, who just recently got engaged to a rednecky looking dude who has GOT to be at least mid-40s. Every.single.day. for the last probably 4 or 5 months he posts on her wall EVERYday things like "love u beautiful" or "made my day seeing ur gorgeous face". Sometimes it's just "love you". It's pretty weird.

It's simple. The only reason couples talk to each other on facebook is so people can see it. They want attention and e-high fives for being so great/nice/sweet/loving.
