I don’t understand why you included this? Honestly curious

Because we live in the country and my sister and I were home alone.

I included “that I knew” so it didn’t sound like a bunch of creepy adults showed up at my house. It was people from my church and neighbors.

Just thought “adults showed up at my house” sounded weird.

He was a lot more patient with me during my dumbass teens-early twenties phase than I had any right to expect.

My dad got injured when I was thirteen years old and got addicted to opioid pills and then spent the rest of his life in a recliner messed up on pills till he died a couple of years ago. I too have been injured and I want to thank my dad for teaching me by bad example to not give up on working instead of drawing a disability check. I thank him for teaching me that I shouldn't lay on my arse letting my kids raise themselves. I thank my dad for teaching me not to give up on life even though you battle chronic pain due to an injury.

Happy Father's Day dad. I miss you dearly.

Got spanked severely. Took his own life. Don't really miss him. My stepdad was the finest man I'll ever know. Both are dead now.

He didn't get mad when I stole his Miller Lite when I was eight.

He's a very kind person and one of the hardest working people I've ever met. Basically an old hard working hippie now. Although he has very poor decision making abilities that negatively affected his life and his family's.

Worked 6 days a week to provide for 5 kids. Was very tough on me. He was there for every football game I played in. We were fishing pals and I miss him terribly. Happy Father’s Day pop. I love you.

My pops never gave up on me when others did. Without him, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
