You do understand that elite athletes have been using resistance masks for years (long before the pan-damnit began). Is is possible that they are just wearing one of them and that you are rustled by something that doesn't really effect you?

Jesus Christ man. We finally stopped hearing nonstop from the media and president etc about Covid and masks and vaxxes, now I just wish we could stop hearing from the other side like the OP.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone on a bike wearing one of those, but I also have never lived in the mountains.

I have a friend who competes and has worn them while training. It isn't common to see them...but it isn't unheard of, either.

I come across this no doubt 20-30 times a day. Probably even more so with kids than adults
About 20% of the adults ride bikes around my neighborhood with a mask about about 50% of the kids

Have you ever been to Asia? Even before covid, every person on a bike or moped wore a surgical mask to keep dust and pollution out while they're open-faced on the roadway. Did you ever stop and think that this girl on the bike might be wearing it for the same reason?

Asians have been masking up pre covid due to generic fears of getting sick; it's not just bikers.
You're really doing some mental gymnastics to justify this girl riding her bike while masked up while completely ignoring the obvious reason.
