I agree. I don't think they should be illegal.

Fwiw psychedelics benefited me very much.

I liken shrooms to being in Lord of the Rings and LSD to being in Star Wars. Just my personal experience

Eta meaning shrooms is a more terrestrial experience. All of my most ridiculous trips occurred on acid.

When I lived in Mississippi I used dowels to inoculate white oak logs. Currently I’m using inoculated grain spawn and sterilized wood pellets. After thanksgiving I’m going to start using agar plates or syringes. Still researching and getting things setup.

Fair enough. I love using agar, and strongly encourage its use. It just comes down to how frequent contaminates come with spore prints or syringes. Let's you separate the good mycelium from bacteria or whatever else pops up with relative ease. Plus selecting your strongest branch of mycelium to cut out and propagate on plate #2 really lets you feel like you had a bigger role in the final output

Heavy duty edibles before my bud dinners is manageable, somewhat. This is going to present a whole new challenge to “holding it together”.

Correct. Also, pluck them on the cap before you pick them. That knocks out spores so they'll be more growing when you come back.

Waiting on a couple books to learn a bit more about using agar. Been browsing YouTube for now. Books should arrive in a week or two.

Went to the mushroom festival in Girdwood last weekend. It’s the northern most rainforest and it was insane the number of mushrooms collected and identified.

Yup. Also, if you've never had a true psychedelic experience (shrooms, lsd, etc..) then you've never faced the truth of your very existence. Only until then, can you face those more difficult parts of how you present/conduct yourself as the human being you see yourself to be. You can make minor breakthroughs by other means, but not nearly to the level of a psychedelic experience. You can learn and grow from it, or disregard it. How you apply the results of that experience going forward will be your choice.

I fully believe that psychedelic drug use, often in significant doses, as I was reaching adulthood was a truly formative experience and made me an unequivocally better and more productive person. LSD and mushrooms taken in conjunction with some great friends doing the same thing basically obliterated some serious self-consciousness and general sense of self-importance that negatively impacted both how I treated myself and other people. I was not able to clearly identify either the positive or negative characteristics of myself beforehand, at least not to the same extent. Tripping also helped me identify what was important to me at a relatively young age.

I think a lot of my positive experience can be derived from some great people being around me at that time as well as being in a time in my life that was conducive to such a significant shift, so I recognize that not everyone will have the same level of positive memories and impacts from psychedelics.

Based on that rationale, clothes are addicting.
