And Joe Biden sent them $600 million in a bailout.

$250k in San Francisco is about $80k in Baton Rouge just FYI. Cost of living there is insane.

how in the frick is a firefighter making 125k or more salary before overtime? Thats fricking absurd, especially with 50k in benifits packed on top.

Cost of living is outrageous there.

Making $250K a year there is like making $80-100K a year in Louisiana.

Seriously.

I know people making that in the bay area living large.

Taxes and housing are the big expenses. Solve the housing, and you'll be fine.

I’d rather see a firefighter make that than some pencil pusher in charge of some LGBTQ committee. How much does it pay to clean shite off the sidewalks?

One bedroom loft apartment - $5000 per month

I have heard, however, that groceries are about the same price....

I know a guy who moved out there to work for DocuSign and pays nearly $1.5k for an apartment without a bedroom. Shares the place with several other roommates.

$250,000 a year in SF is equal to about $109,000 in Lake Charles. Real princes you have there.

I watched a doc on HBO recently, and they were talking to one of the guys who runs ESRI (the GIS tech firm). A firm like that would naturally be in the Bay Area. However, he keeps ESRI based in the Inland Empire (Redlands) because he wants his employees to actually be able to live close to the work without going poor.

frick the Bay Area.
