They moved from the hood at Airline and Choctaw around that time yet the hood followed them further south.

Gravy can try but I think they can point to facility issues that make it unprofitable to keep the store open.

I know they had some extended power outages that affected the freezers and refrigerators, resulting in a lot of unsellable food.

If the problem couldn’t be easily remedied, it may have been cheaper to close up shop.

you know people laugh and think you are exaggerating, but i have done work up in NBR, and that place ;literally looks like a war machine rolled through about 10 years ago, very similar to like an eastern Europe city in the 80's. It was really eye opening, that not 4 miles away, the year is 2018 and that area is like it is stuck in 1983.

That area across from the Walmart is practically a bus station. People in Baton Rouge fear public transportation riders like people in Oregon fear transients while pumping gas. Costco providing a bus station free experience so close by probably killed it.

Yeah I wasn't joking

I had the misfortune of going into the Walmart right there about 10:30pm one night. My friend had a dead battery and that was the closest place that was still open. I got hit up for money and cigarettes in the parking lot several times, trash and shopping carts everywhere. It's a rough area now.
