It looks more like an east coast hurricane than a Gulf of Mexico hurricane. It's got that tight comma head and big cloud shield off to one side.

Several 73 knot SFMR readings too. NHC may bump her up to 75 knots (85 mph) at 7 PM

Sorry if already posted, but here's a good link to show what's flooded in OBA.

I'm probably posting too many radar/satellite images, but they're neat to look at.

It's popping an eye out for sure.

And now I must stop watching and make my wife tell me all about what's happening on recon. I'm sure she's going to be excited to do that.

Yeah. It seems like the non-stacked low level and mid to upper level centers taking so long to align left her with that smaller west side.

Well still 80mph but a drop from 979 to 975. Winds may catch up to the pressure drop in the next hour or two.

Midtown Mobile report:
Weather going downhill fast in the last hour or so.
Power out.. and numerous reports of outages in the vicinity. Surprised power stayed on this long.

Street flooding not an immediate issue in my locale...

I'm currently located by the University of South Alabama. Power flickered but still on.

Going to be a long night and Wednesday...

Stay safe out there Mobile.

It’s amazing to me how often Baton Rouge seems to gets spared on hurricanes. They usually jut left or right before they get to us. I’m sure there’s some meteorological reason for that.
