Power out.. and numerous reports of outages in the vicinity
Yeah when I saw that the airport had a gust around 60, I figured some power would go out. That is usually when small trees and large tree limbs start breaking.
You have a lot more coming your way. Some parts of the Mobile metro area will likely be getting gusts of 100 mph.
Stay safe.

I've been tracking that yellow "X" in the SW of the NOAA gulf tropical chart and it looks like that system is the remnants of Marco. It looks to move N along the coast and develop into a hurricane next week. Thanks for your reply!

the power there can get knocked out with a stiff breeze almost.
but the flooding is why i dipped out. Flash floods are a problem in midtown and downtown.

And now I must stop watching and make my wife tell me all about what's happening on recon. I'm sure she's going to be excited to do that.
Wife: Baby, it’s purple little arrows.
Duke: Dark purple or light purple?
Wife: Light purple. Oh, there is a pink! This is fun. No wonder you spend hours on end talking with strangers on the internet about it.

Friend,
Your photo is not from Golden Corral. That fine establishment does not serve egg rolls, cheap sushi, or miso soup. It also does not have bamboo walled booths. Please find an accurate photo.
In hurricane news, Dewey's Destin on the pass was closed today. Earlier, it looked like this:

Both reasons why I decided against living in midtown. There’s also constant fricking roadwork. I don’t know how y’all do it.

My MIL went to her brother's house in Grand Bay to get away from potential flooding, and they lost power about 30 mins ago. My guess would be the power co shut it down to avoid surges with the storm getting closer to landfall.

I went to Murphy. It’s a neat area around the school. Used to get my hair cut at mayos.

Was taking my dogs to do their business and power went out right before I got on the elevator at Phoenix V. Pretty good timing, would suck to be stuck on the elevator for 12 hours with two dogs that have to poop. Power keeps flashing on and off so we took the stairs. My old lab wasn’t too happy walking back up to the 11th floor. It’s either real dog owner’s sacrifice or stupidity to stand outside during a hurricane trying to coach your dogs into pooping. LOL
