Sales tax on used vehicles

Is there anything else that you could name you would pay taxes on that is used.
If a 50,000.00 truck is bought & sold 3 times in a 7 year period the state would collect approximately $8,500.00-$9,000.00 in taxes.
Take about a racket, a product should be taxed 1 time when it’s purchased new, taxing used vehicles is highway robbery.

You're supposed to be reporting all your internet purchases too, new or used.

Pretty much anything that the sales taxes are charged on that I want and that it priced right.
Used items that I have paid taxes on include: Camera equipment, air compressor, rear tine tiller, table saw, cell phone, truck, Yamaha outboard, pellet rifle, and much more.
Incidentally, taxes aren't robbery or even theft. They suck, but government and the things it provides has to be paid for somehow.

If you're paying using money given out by govt. then you are using tax money to pay taxes again.

The person who trades the vehicle receives tax credit on the new purchase reducing sales tax collected.

That's why you always keep a friend who is a dealer that can do a trade on paper for you.

One of my gripes, taxes on the sale of a vehicle should only happen once. But we have a lot of govt pensions and raises to pay for.

Don't forget the money you're paying that tax on was already taxed from the get go.

Just write it off.
It’s almost free to start a business. Print up some cards that say UnoMe’s car buying business. Now it’s not retail and there are no taxes. If the lot won’t work with you you just write it off come tax time.
I do this with cars, large appliance purchases, houses, etc. anything over $1000 makes it worth it.
