what agency will hire Salamoni next?

As previously stated, let him get paid from the massive lawsuit against the City,BRPD,Civil Service....then, he can be the Chief of Police for the great City of St George!

I was caught off guard at how he reacted too.

but like others said, dont the circumstances change when they are called there knowing the guy had a gun on him somewhere and had just pulled it on someone?

All of this. Salamoni getting fired was the right call. I get being cautious and having your guard up. But until Salamoni rolled up Lake seemed to be having a none confrontational interaction with Sterling. Sal just poured gas on a tense situation. I get that they had tazed Sterling and got back up on his feet but he had his hands up and made no move whatsoever. This just looks very bad. I am actually quite surprised by my reaction to this. I know Sterling was a piece of shite but man this looks bad. If I am seeing this wrong someone correct me?

Salamoni escalated the situation, this could have been handled better and we wouldn’t be here right now

Exactly. And you have to wonder if his temper had something to do with making that fatal decision. Dude is a piece of shite

You're an idiot. Did you even watch the videos?

Yes I watched them. If Elvin Sterring would have complied instead of being a pos thug, his dumb arse would maybe still be alive

In a perfect vacuum , yes. Once they tased him and created some distance, maybe they could have held him at gunpoint and disarmed him. But real life isn’t perfect. Alton had an illegal gun. I’d rather the cops go home to thier families than a POS criminal

There's nothing that would change your mind about Salamoni's behavior.

you hear 'GUN, GUN' as if it's some big surprise shows that the officers weren't working together

Jesus Christ dude. When a gun is seen, confirmed, or identified it's always called out. If nothing else it was verbal confirmation for all the damn video/audio devices the exact moment the gun was seen. Working together or not has nothing to do with it

Salamonie has a good a chance at winning a lawsuit as Sterling does of being a productive member of society.

Lots of blame to go around and some of that falls on him. Cops in Dallas and BR lost their lives because of this situation. He would be doing all of us a favor if he would just shut the frick up and go away and be thankful that the witch hunt out to end his career did that and only that.

Pretty much. Those officers were power tripping assholes that blew this way out of of proportion.

Lake seemed pretty composed and didn't seem to do anything wrong, imo

Salamoni put him at risk by diving headfirst at Sterling. hell, the use of force expert said that himself in the AG report

I don't understand why Howie was disciplined at all. I didn't see anything that he did wrong.

You are correct sir Especially when its a 911 call for a thug threatening people with a gun who happens to be a convicted felon, child molester, drug dealing... and the pos thug doesnt comply!
You damn right...

You are not wrong. I have been very surprised by my read on it this evening as well.

Salamoni was saved from criminal charges by the gray area that the shooting was justified once they were on the ground but they never needed to be on the ground because Sterling was contained though still not compliant before Salamoni went in for the tackle.
