most of their products are admitted. They have 1 Wilshire HO3 that's AM Best A- rated that is non admitted. Sorry they also have Markel and Trium that are both non admitted.

I have had them for 5 years and no issues. They replaced my roof after IDA no questions asked. Premiums did go up the following year but that was expected. They have leveled off and seem to be reasonable for my house.

Just switched to Sage Sure a month ago. My insurer during Ida went belly up so we had no choice but to go with allstate right after Ida. They upped our policy from $4400 to $6300 so I said eff y'all and went shopping. Got a policy with Sage Sure for my previous premium and my storm deductible went from 2% to 3% and I got more coverage. Seemed like a no brainer to me. Hope it all works out for you. Seems like people have had good experiences with them so I am hoping for the same.

I've had Sage Sure, writing Occidental, since 2018. Policy price actually went down prior to Ida in 2021. I had roof and interior water damage. They were easy to deal with and paid on time with no haggling over damage estimates. They have gone up naturally since Ida but they are still reasonable compared to the others writing in South Louisiana on the coast.

I live in Mandeville.

Prior to Ida I had a Federated National policy via Sagesure. Sagesure was basically a middleman.

I had pretty significant damage, but was able to get claims paid by Federated National using the claims process through Sagesure.

Federated National left Louisiana after Ida and now my policy is with SureChoice Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (SURE) via Sagesure. They were far and away the cheapest option. I have not had to file any claims, yet, but expect to hold my breath / hope and pray I'm not screwed should the time ever come where I need to file a claim.

Premium did increase 23% when policy renewed 7/1/25 from 7/1/24 and policy has gone from a 2% hurricane deductible to a 3% hurricane deductible since first going into effect after Ida.

I got Sage sure when I moved in to my house on 2021(mandeville)

Premium was 3000

Flash forward to this year it was going to be 10k so I changed. Zero claims during the 4 years with them

They will get you in for cheaper than absolutely fly to the moon on increases after year 1

Year is my 2021-2024 increases

I have Sage Sure. It was by far the most affordable. I had to file one claim with them and they paid it promptly without hassle. I have no complaints.

Rates were skyrocketing in 2022-2023 for every insurance company in Louisiana. Didn't matter if it was a brand new policy of if you'd been with the same company years.

I am sure the bank that has the mortgage on the property will love this idea.

I used to have Sage, I never had to file a claim, so I can't speak to that. I only switched because I was offered a better rate by State Farm.

Had Sage Sure for several years. Had hail damage to our roof and filed a claim. Their adjuster came out and walked the roof with our roofer and approved the claim that day. Paid the $32000 claim, but dropped us when then next renewal was due. Can’t blame them I guess.

We switched from citizens to sagesure. The premium is less than half of what citizens would have been for much better coverage.

Are they easy to deal with claim wise??

No idea.

But we wrote it in 2023 and last year it went up $100 for the year. This year it went up by $1200.

Still a lot but not nearly as much as some

If I’m going to pay for crap, I just as soon pay the least for the same crap.

We’re in vermilion parish. We did need to change roof prior to them writing but it was time any way. We consider that “maintenance” not “wait for a storm and say it’s damage” type people.

I’ve had SageSure for two houses. Limb went through the roof of my first home and they paid and service and claim check were fast and easy. Hail damage on current house was denied, but after working with the roofing company, they eventually paid for a new roof. Got a fortified roof and premium reduction. Service was pretty easy and about as good as you can expect. Would recommend based on my experience.

Underwriting is a bitch. They will inspect your home, nitpick, and make you perform "repairs" or drop you.

If you had a brand new house, it would be different.

You may want to look at someone like Ocean Harbor

I switched from Liberty Mutual to Allstate. Never had a claim or any issues both companies were very happy to have my business.
