Frankly, at least half. Shaving is still shaving, but the chemical shite in the can that Wal-Mart and drug stores call "shaving cream" is just awful. If I went back to shitty plastic/metal scrapers at $8/per or whatever, I would still use my good shaving creams, scuttle, hot water set up, the whole megillah.

Meh, I asked a stripper once how she shaved so close with no irritation and she told me her secret was using hair conditioner. Damn if that doesn't work like a charm.

What? I just joined the seedless grapes club and they asked me to shave my downstairs region for prep. Thanks Creamo!

Feather blades tGOAT. You'll mess your shite up if you aren't careful. I've got a slant bar merkur because I'm extra.

I don't like feathers. I get cut easily even with brand new blades. Never have that issue with Astra blades.

Just switched a couple days ago and I thought it gave a very nice and smooth shave.

Badger brush, poraso tube of shaving cream, and a lathering bowl. Turn in the hot water, put the brush in the bowl, put it under the faucet and let it soak for a few seconds in hot water. Pull the brush out, put a dab of shaving crème onto it, dump all of the hot water out of the bowl except just a little bit (you will need to experiment with the amount of shaving crème and amount of hot water to leave to get the right consistency). Lather up the brush in the bowl and apply to your face. Hot lather is the greatest thing in the world. I was about to dump some serious money on a machine until I discovered this method. Heaven.

I like the gillette 7 O clocks personally

I'm used to it now and like how much cheaper it is. Bought a box of shaving soap and razors and haven't run out of my first purchase after all these years.
Just don't start talking about how "luxurious" it is and how you "pamper yourself" with expensive balms and lotions. Then it's gay.

See, you just crossed the gay line. Just run a bit of shaving soap across your face and take care of business. No need for ritual.

Is there anywhere in BR that sells the safety razors, blades, and the different shaving creams? Somewhere I can actually pick see what I’m buying before buying?

I rotate soaps among Stirling Soap Company scents.
My current scent rotation is Gatlinburg, Satsuma, Barbershop, Weekend in Malibu, & Hot Apple Cider. Unfortunately, the last two are hit and miss on availability.
I shave before showering, so all my wife gets is the scent , no soapy taste.
OBTW, I used a brush and soap for a long time before I bought a safety razor. Now I use a Merkur 34 and Astra Platinum blades (100 for $13 on Amazon--lasts a year.)
