I’m embarrassed that I know this, but the last time Pat was out sick, Vanna did fill in for him. Pat’s daughter (Maggie) took Vanna’s place.
Vanna was completely stilted and got confused a few times, saying no, when a letter was really in the puzzle.
Writing’s on the wall: I expect to see Maggie Sajak as the letter turner when Vanna retires.
