Yeah. I always hated my previous duty stations, and absolutely despised Groton while I was at sub school. Hated KBay the first time I was there, embraced it the second time. I take it you are much older than I, qual'd on 742 in 07.

Not gonna happen. They know where we are when we transit out on the surface but as soon as the sub goes under they can't track us.
I've been on training ops where we had to play the enemy sub. They stuck us in a small square of ocean and let the surface navy and P3 Orions try to find us. It got to the point where we were instructed to make as much noise as possible (slamming deck plate, beating on the hull with wrenches, causing cavitation, etc) and they still couldn't find us.
Unless there is a serious mechanical issue, our submarines are ghosts once they submerge.

Send in a Super Hornet or Growler to do some 'simulated attack runs'. They did it to us enough last year in their neck of the woods. We should return the favor just to keep relations up.
