I'm a veteran. I believe in a strong military and strong military responses when necessary.

You labeled me a progressive because I don't walk in lockstep with you and your ilk.

Apparently, you shouldn't be so quick to judge.

I label you a progressive because you walk lockstep with the progressives.

It is the ideology you support and express.

Why would you take it as an insult?

our sworn enemy

Why do you have this concept of Russia being our sworn enemy? We do not have inherently divergent interests once the Cold War era intelligence games are stripped away.

quote:

The 80's proxy war in Afghanistan literally removed our sworn enemy's name from the face of the globe.

We were so successful and catastrophically shortsighted in this “victory” that it ended up directly resulting in our own two decade occupation of Afghanistan.

Also, either Russia is our “sworn enemy”, or the USSR was. Russia is still around.

quote:

can surely be duplicated should Putin actually go through with this incredibly dumb move.

This stupid sentence tells me everything I need to know about your knowledge of global affairs. Ukraine is absolutely nothing like Afghanistan—in any way.

Where did you fight? How many friends did you watch bleeding and dying in front of you? How many boys caught up on the other side did you send to their grave?

love how you deflect every question i ask and made zero counter points. typical of idiots on both sides....attack the poster when you dont have an arguement to stand on.

since im just a dumbass kid like you said (despite being 40 and serving a long arse time ago) why dont you blow my arguements out with some facts.

fact is....you are happy to send others and other peoples kids to die but you are not willing to go yourself nor send your kids to.

People like you scream about how we need to fight a proxy war, then a decade or two later, you scream about how it's imperative that we fight the people we armed during the conflict

Imagine thinking that if you don’t support unfettered intervention in the affairs of other sovereign nations, you’re a Putin apologist.

so am i and so do i and a strong military response for something that has zero effect on average american is not needed. also why should we bail out our nato "allies" when they started this bullshite by going back on thier word about not trying to bring ukraine into nato. they started the talks and now russia is pissed, rightfully so.

stop living in the 1970s foreign policy lense. its dumb, outdated and not how the real world works. Russia now a days is no more the bad guy then we are the good guy.

stop swallowing the MIC official line and supporting them.

if you truely served then you should know how it feels to be a political pawn and used to advance an agenda in the name of "FREEDOM" only to realize that none of the shite you are fighting for has any affect on freedom. The bullshite laws congress passes under the veil of war sure as frick do though.

You're labeled a progressive because you are one. Even if you are a veteran, that doesn't mean you aren't a batshit progressive.

You act like people just jump to this conclusion based on one post of yours. You have a long history. Why can't yall ever just own what you are?

Your ideological betters and political leaders have backed every move Russia has made over the previous 12 years.

Blocked recent and previous sanctions against them and essentially signed off on Russia claiming Crimea.

Spare us your righteous indignation.

So we should just sit back and let our corporations get hacked and tell them sorry you are just gonna have to deal with it. I think that is bad policy. The more we let Russia and China harbor criminals the more we look weak and it will only progress. We have to take a hard stance against this otherwise it happens more frequently and gets worse. That doesn't mean we launch weapons.

The argument is the same for letting these thugs out of jail that have multiple arrests including assault with a deadly weapon. DA's let them run free and now they murdered someone. By letting Russia harbor criminals it is only going to escalate until it is too late and we or our allies have a war on the ground with them.

Hey now. Mmmmmmmmelt was the top ranking cook on the line. Homeboy could clean a 50 pound sack of taters in 3.5 minutes flat.

I saw him, with my own eyes, send over 100,000 Brock lees to their graves. He fiendishly cut the heads off of turnips like they were trying to rape his little sister.

Once, we had to rush him to the combat surgeon, where thankfully he was saved and given a Purple Heart for his mandolin mishap.

This is the best telltale sign of intellectually lazy and deficient people.

Let me ask you what you're a veteran of. What branch were you in and what did you do?

i can answer that for him....zero, because if he did, he wouldnt be screaming for war. those that expierence war never ever ever ever want it to happen again.

just like the suburban rambos that are just fat fricks with an ar-15 that come on here and scream about fighting the government & civil war.......they have no clue what they are wishing for.
