I have old IRobot 690 (a Roomba brand) like this LINK / which I got specifically for pet hair (I have two fluffy cats). Well, all I can say that now I see definitely less dust and fur in my house, but still I use a traditional vacuum sometimes.

We bought the Roomba i7 (the one with the bin) and liked it so much, we bought two more - one for each floor of the house. They all kick off around 1 am every morning and are done by the time we wake up.

Still need a (smaller) vacuum for quick pickups or spills that are wet - I bought my wife a Rainbow vacuum years ago and we hardly every pull it out since getting the Roomba’s.

My Roomba gets the job done. I’ve been pleased with the purchase.

However you do have to make sure you pick up socks and other stuff the days it is scheduled to run otherwise it’ll just shite down after sucking up some wires or whatever was on the ground to avoid damaging motors and what have you.

The newer ones create a heat map of your house and you can see how well it gets to every spot. I’ve been impressed with its flexibility moving from hard wood to carpet and its pathing algorithms are really fun to watch evolve. It’s definitely a well made and well tuned product.

Good for daily touch up on hard floors. Dog hair on carpet that thing is going to clog in about 2 seconds.

Same, our Roomba got a head injury or something

It was good for a year then it just started going in circles or would hit a wall and just sit there for 90 seconds before doing a circle and hitting it again

Cordless Dyson FTW

Ours is OK. It picks up some stuff but our house isn't particularly well laid out for it. It gets stuck on the curtains, cords etc before it ever makes it to the back of the house.

We run our Roomba on a schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday....we have a cleaning lady that comes every other week. You can walk on our floor barefoot pretty much anytime and not feel any dirt, grit, or grime on your feet. Maybe starts to get a little grit on Sunday evening but it knocks it out Sunday morning.

It is worth every penny especially if you have a dog.

I have a Roomba 650 with a dog and a cat. I like having it because it picks up hair and dust daily. But like others said, you still have to vacuum yourself once a week or more. The Roomba does get stuck most days and doesn't cover everything most of the time even when it does do its full run.

Spend the money on a cordless Dyson. Our Roomba fills up too quickly with our dogs hair and we bought it before they had a self emptying version. Not worth it having to keep getting up to empty the small bin. I’d rather just vacuum myself and be done with it.

frick that.
