There is no such thing as accentless speech

The Ted Baxter announcer's voice is not the standard

This way of thinking used to rule in England re the "Oxford Accent", but it's been chipped away at for some time. I hope we can do the same w/the US equivalent.

So if you went to England and talked to people they'd say, "That Mexican, he has no accent"?
