Gave one of the most honest assessments Ive heard of heroin use....

Beard explains that he had different reasons for taking different drugs, saying "the pills thing came about just from the workload. And the heroin thing came about because I just liked it. I mean, you ever done heroin? It's great. It's a fricking vacation for the mind, and I liked it. I liked it a lot."

Sad, sad to hear. Good man, Frank Beard. Best band ever from Texas. Will be missed.

Here is one of his Cameron handmades, no telling what it’s worth given it’s his, made by Scotty and all,the hand stamping…

Would easily bring 6 figures if not more at auction.

2nd or 3rd show I saw as a kid. Had fun watching all of the drunk white people (not me, I was 15). Good times.

ZZ Top drummer Frank Beard stated in the documentary ZZ Top: That Little Ol’ Band From Texas: "I never had enough money to be a proper addict until, you know, ’77, and then I accomplished that.”

He further clarified that he spent his first major $72,000 paycheck entirely on drugs, including LSD and heroin, noting that he previously lacked the financial means to sustain such habits before achieving success with the band.

the Eliminator concert stage had the dash board of the 1933 Ford rod as the back drop to the show...when the show started the gas tank needle was at full and it ended on empty...

was a great show...
