I'm surprised it hadn't shut down years ago.

When’s the last time you’ve wondered something and said “ hmm lemme ask Jeeves?”

Altavista whipped everyone's arse before the rise of Google.

What's ironic about this is I remember way back in the day being like "how could a computer POSSIBLY actually understand things as a human question?". And now that AI is here, Jeeves is gone...

Cleezy 5, David Allen Coe, and now Jeeves?

Google destroyed Jeeves. There was a time in my younger days where I relied on Jeeves. That was 25 years ago and I don’t think I’ve visited since.

I pretty much used google. Never tried to use ask Jeeves. Google worked fine for what i needed.

Cool throwback reminder though. Hadn’t heard that name in a very very long time

Oh no! What should I do?

I need a good search engine to replace Ask Jeeves. It needs to pair seamlessly with my ISP, Netscape.

I fear the day yahoo goes caput only because I’ve had only one personal email address my entire life. It was a yahoo.com one I created in college when dial up internet was getting going.

I’ve managed to keep it clean and unsubscribed to the majority of spam all these years.

Saw a lot of these tweets today. Im surprised it wasn't shut down about 15 years ago. Haven't heard it seen or mentioned at all and I'm online a lot.

Alta Vista was good, but I thought Ask Jeeves was amazing.

Then Google came out and it was practically magic.
