Wow. There is a whole bunch of crazy in there if you make it through the story, "Torch".

There are other issues of concern of course, like the untreated sewage in the waters which athletes complained have made them break out in disease.
Couldn't have asked for a better host site.

It's really a shame that this is the situation. It definitely puts the idea of "should I really go and potentially put myself in danger?" in some participants' minds. I really feel bad for those where this is possibly their one and only shot at an Olympic games. Not everyone can be Michael Phelps and make FIVE straight Olympics

Rio is a comedy of errors.
Body parts washing up on shore.
The waters that the swimming and rowing events are so highly contaminated and polluted that people are getting sick just being near them.
A portion of their bike track fell off into a sinkhole.
Zika virus
Infection rates for staph and other bacterial infections normally scene in uncleaned hospitals are prevalent in the streets.
Police officers aren't allowed toilet paper, and have to beg citizens on the street.
AIDS is their chief export
And the new rail line connecting Iponema beach to the games just started construction. The games start in 2 months.
What could go wrong?

Did the untreated sewage only splash up on their private parts?
Is this what some of the athletes telling their old ladies? This could be the new "toilet seat" excuse.

Athletes and Games I'm sure will be fine. The fans and tourists are fricked when outside.
The IOC is a god damned joke. I used to work with a woman whose son worked for them. Sounded like a sweet gig with his travel etc. I always wanted to ask her what he thought of the corruption.
But she is elderly and it IS her SON, so I felt it was shitty to ask what her son thought of the corruption he was essentially a part of, whether directly or indirectly. Kind of a dick move.

This is really giving Uganda some hope that they too could host the Olympics one day.
