You'll see, JP Morrell is a modern day Dorothy Mae Taylor who is trying to stir up the natives against white Krewes and replace them with more black Krewes.

Real talk here: A generation or two need a good beating to think twice about doing stupid shite.

It’s no secret, Halena and JP Morell will amend the rules so only underhand tossing of beads is permitted

There are some leftist folks on the side of the float where the incident occurred according to friends in the parade. Including a former HANO spokesman and party activists from Louisiana and Mississippi. I guessing seeing ICE triggered their weak minds.

And all of the riders were pulled off because no one would give up the guilty party, but how do you give up someone when no one did anything wrong? Also wrong float.

When you are up there with the mask on you can only see the person next you when looking right at him.

Nothing like this happens for years and all of the sudden it’s twice in the same Mardi Gras. Something isn’t adding up.

Not sure why whole floats are now being removed when there has never been an issue in the past with identifying and removing problematic riders on an individual basis.

How did they target Feds? Aren’t they supposed to blend in with the crowd?

The my been throwing beads hard at people for as damn long as I can remember

This. Turn your back to a parade and you'll probably have 1 person every float or two launch a full/mostly full bag of beads at the back of your head.

Don't you miss the good old days when all you had to worry about was getting clipped by a tandem float whilst you were trying to catch a 7 cent string of chinese plastic?

Always seems once something happens at Mardi Gras you see it multiple times that year.

because that’s the mentality now - whole groups need to be punished for one person’s (or a couple of people’s) action

NOPD just said their initial reporting was incorrect.

quote:

The group of riders removed from a Snoopy-themed Krewe of Thoth float were throwing beads aggressively at a group of parade-goers with signs opposing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the New Orleans Police said in a corrected statement on Monday.

NOPD previously said the riders were targeting federal agents with parade throws, but that information was incorrect.

“Information received that items were thrown at federal agents themselves were found to be incorrect,” NOPD officials said.

The media had the Tucks Barbie doll incident on the national broadcast last night (CBS)

I used to ride in the Irish-Italian parade and this dude held a sign saying YOU THROW LIKE A BITCH.

His mistake was holding the sign in front of his face. I threw an onion right at the sign and it smashed into his face. When he looked up at me I was flipping him off and he was bitching at me.

If you are at a parade you should expect to get hit with shite. The amount of people who go to parades and then get mad when they get hit is astonishing.
